Important Notice on Voting Precincts
There will be a few changes this year in the City regarding elections. The Office of Probate has decided to split the city into two voting precincts. City Hall is the newly established precinct. Blackwell Lodge will still serve as a voting precinct. Prior to Primary Election Day, June 3, 2008, all active, registered voters will receive a postcard containing their updated voting center information. The City's Election will also be held at City Hall.
If you are interested in being a candidate in the municipal election, you can qualify beginning July 1 until July 15 at 5:00.
Important Election Dates:
July 1, 2008 - Mayor gives notice of Election. Candidates may begin qualifying once notice is published. Qualifying forms are available at City Hall from City Clerk.
July 15, 2008 - Last day to qualify to run for municipal office.
August 26, 2008 - Municipal Election Day.
November 4, 2008 - Presidential Election Day.

Mobile County has completed its schedule for the four year Pay-As-You-Go program. The county has selected the following streets to be on the program: Dale Drive, Cedar Street, Second Street, Painter Drive, Replacement of Spat Bridge on Orange Avenue
The schedule bid date has been set for July 2006 with a projection of completion being by the year 2008.
